It is a season of double honours for ECWA School of Nursing Egbe as the Principal and the college are both honoured and conferred with awards by an international NGO.

The Principal of ECWA School of Nursing Egbe, Mrs. Christiana Abosede Maiye has been honoured with the CEO’s Peformance Appraisals Score Card Award by the Centre for Ethics and Self Value Orientation, an international NGO promoting leadership, exposing corruption, providing ethical education and value orientation of global citizens.

The award presentation ceremony held on Monday 8th of April 2019 and was also an opportunity for the induction of Mrs. Maiye into the Centre’s Hall of Fame as an “Ambassador of Ethics and Woman of Conscience”.

Prince Salih M. Yakubu, the Executive Director for the Centre for Ethics and Self Value Orientation, stated that Mrs. Maiye as the recipient of the CEO’s Performance Appraisals Score Card Award was independently assessed across several sectors such as innovative/ethical leadership, staff discipline, public accessibility, servicom compliance, due process application, student discpline and time management amongst others. It is noteworthy that Mrs. Maiye performed excellently across all these sectors with an average score exceeding 73%.

The Centre for Ethics and Self Value Orientation also conferred on ECWA School of Nursing Egbe a Certificate of Credence for emerging in the best overall position in Kogi State in an independent secret assessment exercise conducted by the Centre on the 50 Schools of Nursing in Nigeria between January 2018 and January 2019.

Prince Salih M. Yakubu, the Executive Director for the Centre for Ethics and Self Value Orientation affirmed that ECWA School of Nursing Egbe by virtue of the award, has been ranked amongst the Top 20 most ethically sound Nursing Schools in Nigeria in the 2018/2019 session.

It was therefore a season of double honours for the ECWA School of Nursing Egbe to have these awards conferred on the school and the Principal, Mrs. Christiana Maye.
